Finding information about the courses offered on a program abroad is important. Academic advisers need course information in order to make sure that courses fit appropriately.

How you access course information varies depending on the type of study abroad program you choose.

Study Abroad Centers

Program sponsor booklets or brochures commonly contain course descriptions. For some programs, they can be found in the Learning Abroad Center Resource Center.

Additionally, course information is available on the web sites of the program sponsor (the organization or institution running the program).

If you are still unable to locate appropriate course information contact the program sponsor directly. Toll free numbers and email addresses are found in the catalogs or online.

Host-University Study

First, review Finding Course Information Tips for Host-Universities for details on how to maneuver web sites and know which courses are appropriate for you.

Then, access course information on the host institution’s web site.

  • Program sponsors have links to the host university’s web site on their web site. Links from your program sponsor’s site often go directly to course selection pages. You can get to these pages by clicking here.

If you are still unable to locate appropriate course information contact the program sponsor directly. Toll free numbers and emails can be found on the catalogs or online.
