Finding information about the courses offered on a program abroad is important. Academic advisers need course information in order to make sure that courses fit appropriately.
- Use the Academic Planning for Study Abroad form (provided in the First Step meeting) to facilitate good planning and effective conversations with your advisers.
How you access course information varies depending on the type of study abroad program you choose.
Study Abroad Centers
Program sponsor booklets or brochures
commonly contain course descriptions. For some programs, they
can be found in the Learning Abroad Center Resource Center.
Additionally, course information is available on the web sites of the program sponsor (the organization or institution running the program).
- The Learning Abroad Center web site provides links to the sponsor’s web pages.
If you are still unable to locate appropriate course information contact the program sponsor directly. Toll free numbers and email addresses are found in the catalogs or online.
