Rail Pass Protection covers passes if they are lost or stolen in Europe. If your pass is lost or stolen, simply file a police report within 24 hours and purchase either a replacement rail pass or point to point tickets to complete the remainder of your trip.

Upon return from Europe, send your original rail receipts and a notarized written report that includes the pass/tickethoder's name, date of validation, a copy of the police report, and a copy of your airline tickets to Rail Europe.

You will be reimbursed the value of the unused portion of the original pass or the value of the replacement pass or tickets purchased in Europe, whichever is lower.
