David Faust: This personal web page of a University of Minnesota librarian long involved in MSID-India includes a wealth of links to useful sites, including most of those listed on this page.

Portal to Asian Internet Resources: University of Wisconsin libraries gateway to Internet resources on East, South, and Southeast Asia. An especially important resource for students doing research projects as part of the academic year program.

SARAI: South Asia Resource Access on the Internet. A Columbia University Library site with links to a host of bibliographies, journal indexes, reference works, library catalogs, etc.

BUBL Link: Dewey-decimal-based catalog of Internet resources on India. Part of a larger site maintained by Scotland's University of Strathclyde.

Rajasthan Studies Group: Home page of an informal group of scholars and others interested in the State of Rajasthan. Includes links to other sites.

Progressive South Asians: Excellent for thoughtful approaches to current problems/issues in India. It is run by a number of Indian academics now living in the US.

India Network Foundation: US-based site maintained by Indian-Americans. Tons of informative links to information about India. Very compact so you have to read carefully.

Times of India: One legacy of colonial rule is that India has many English-language newspapers—this is among the best.

The Hindu: A very good national daily newspaper.

Rajasthan Travel Guide: Tourist guide to Jaipur and vicinity.

OneWorld.net: A British site with links to current news from and above the "two-thirds world."

International Development

Eldis Gateway to Development Information: British/Scandinavian gateway site to a wide variety of information about development, including 15,000 online documents and 4,500 organizations.

Praxis: Resources for Social and Economic Development: Another gateway site to many development resources. Maintained by a University of Pennsylvania professor.
