Passports
Apply for your passport as soon as possible if you haven't already
done so. All travel outside the United States requires a passport. Please plan ahead and apply early! More details located here.
If this is your first passport, the fee is $100 ($75 check or money order payable to the US Department of State and a $25 check or money order payable to the office you apply at). Renewing a passport costs $75 ($75 check or money order payable to US Department of State).
You can have your passport application expedited for $60 plus the cost of overnight delivery. Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay abroad.
Information on how to get a passport is available through the Learning Abroad Center in 230 Heller Hall (map), where you can also have your passport pictures taken. More detailed information and passport applications can be obtained through the State Department.
Applicants must bring their completed application, photos, required documents, and form of payment to one of many acceptance offices, which can be found using the State Department's passport acceptance facility search page. Track your application status here.

Visas You can also find current visa information on the US State Department website or by contacting the consulate or embassy of your host country. Most travel agencies can provide visa services, or you can contact Perry International at 312.372.2703. There is usually a fee for these services. |

International Identity Cards
available through Learning Abroad Travel Services are recommended
